Starting a business as a teenager with one lawnmower and enough determination for a dozen men, John Lee Hoich built a career that made him a millionaire by the time he was 30. John gives God his savor and Lord Jesus Christ thanks everyday for his divine success in everything he has accomplished.
His businesses have ranged from grounds maintenance contracts at U.S. government facilities to land development and ownership of a Hampton Hotel, a medical office building, apartment complexes, shopping centers, assisted living facilities, a golf course and a fifty-year contract for a military housing development.

John sits on several civic and business boards and maintains his involvement in the National Arborist Association and the Nebraska Turf Grass and Irrigation Associations.
That same dedication spills into John’s involvement in civic organizations from the Offutt Air Force Base Advisory Board, to the University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Business
Administration Advisory Board; Boy Scouts Mid-America Council; The Congressional Military Academy Selection Committee and others. One of his proudest achievements is his perfect attendance since 1979 at the Suburban Rotary Club of Omaha. A member of the Arch Klumph society one of two major donors in the state of Nebraska. Also a several time donor of the Paul Harris Rotary Foundation. In 1998 the Douglas County board appointed John to the Omaha city planning board, twice he has served as the chairman of the board and is in his fourth consecutive term.
John has received the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Administrators’ Award for Excellence; the National Professional Lawn Care Association’s Special Recognition Award and many others. The Alumni Foundation of Westside Community Schools named its high school alumni house "The John L Hoich House" on 90th and Pacific in 2002 and was inducted into the Westside High School and District 66 Hall of Fame in 1998. Since 1998 John still serves on the alumni board to this day.
The Stephen Center names its alcohol treatment facility in Omaha, the John L. Hoich Center for Recovery. Since 2002 John has served on the advisory council for the Lakeside Hospital in Omaha NE.
John’s most Godly accomplishment is his twin sons Jeremy and Justin.
John’s entrepreneurial career began early. The oldest of six children, he carried several paper routes to help cover the family’s living expenses. He was instrumental in finding jobs for approximately 300 other teenagers who complained they couldn't find work. At 16, his mother died suddenly. Vowing to create the life his mother wanted for her children but could not provide, Hoich took the family’s lawn mower and solicited lawn service clients. His efforts were rewarded when he was named Toro Corporation’s National Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and also Omaha's Young Business Man of the Year Award.
